The 2021 season is in the books, as Bill Burba took home the 2021 Modifieds of Mayhem Championship. Now, things turn toward 2022 and SPEEDFEST. Speedfest will host the North/South Modifieds Shootout for 2022 in partnership between the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour and the Midwest Modifieds Tour.
Speedfest is held every January at Watermelon Capital Speedway at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia. The weekend will feature Super Late Models with the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the Southern Super Series. Pro Late Models will be featured as well with the JEGS/CRA All Star Series and the CRA Street Stocks. The open-wheel modifieds will join a stout lineup for the weekend.
The event will feature open practice session on Friday, January 28, 2022 with Qualifying to follow. All features will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2022 starting at 1:00 P.M.

The Modifieds will compete on the Hoosier F-70 tire. Race tires must be purchased at the track. The event will be a 50-lap contest paying $2,000 to win and $250 to start. Teams must declare the package they will run. Pre-registration and $50 entry fee will be paid to the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour for the southern cars and Midwest Modifieds Tour for the Norther cars.
