MOM Tour wraps up the Summer with a trip to 5 Flags

The Modifieds of MAYHEM returned to 5 Flags Speedway for the second time this season. Short track racing legend Augie Grill #112 won the first outing at the historic speedway. Cody Stickler #46, fresh off a win at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway won the Snowball Derby Modified feature back in December. With Augie Grill running only a Super Late Model at 5 Flags Speedway this past weekend, it was Cody Stickler #46 going back – to – back in the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour. Cody Stickler #46, racing for Doug Moff is now 2 for 2 on the season and finds himself just outside of the top 10 in the 2022 Point Standings.

Though Cody Stickler picked up his second win of the season in the Modifieds of MAYHEM Tour, It was not all the Cody Stickler show.

Alabama native Brandon Curren #00 started out front and was the man to chase down on Saturday night when the green flag waived. It looked as if Curren had run away with the race before the hard charging cars of Stickler and Jeff Letson #131 got around the #00. Local native of Pensacola Derrick Griffin #95 finished the 2021 Snowball Derby with a 3rd place podium finish and a 3rd place finish earlier this season with the MoM Tour at 5 Flags Speedway. Griffin would again place 3rd in the Summer Vacation 50 at 5 Flags Speedway.

Jaxon Bishop entered the weekend with a 30 point lead and continued to pull away from the competition in the 2022 MoM Tour Point Standings. A fresh and new looking top 5 trails points leader Jaxon Bishop #2 after the Summer Vacation 50. Brandon Curren #00 jumps from 6th to 2nd following a top 5 finish. Clayton Green #54 jumps from 5th to 3rd after a good outing. Following a 2nd place finish, Jeff Letson #131 jumps into the 4th position followed by Augie Grill #112 in 5th.

Johnny Walker #72, Barry Martin #68, Matt Martin #168, Tim Moore #57, and Mike Fields #16 rounds out the top 10.
