Although the Modifieds of MAYHEM Tour Champion was not crowned this weekend at MMS, it was still a big weekend for the growing MOM Tour. A stout field of pre-entries rolled in this past week leading up to the Alabama State Championship night in the State Capital. Jaxon Bishop #2 came into the weekend with a pretty goof lead on second place Brandon Curren #00. The Modifieds of MAYHEM Champion will be determined at the Snowball Derby weekend on December 2nd at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.
As the first practice started for the Modifieds, rain began and the day became long from there. For the next few hours we experienced rain, track drying, more rain, and more track drying. When the rain proved to finally be out of the area a practice/qualifying session began and fastest times would determine the top 8 redraw for the big field. Johnny Walker #72 won the pole with Jaxon Bishop #2 qualifying second and Jeff Letson #131 qualifying third. A hard fought race with battles all throughout the field saw multiple cautions including Will Mack #12 and Parker Pugh #7 who were battling inside the top 5.
Jeff Letson #131 found his way to the front and held off a strong run from Johnny Walker #72 and Brandon Curren #00. Jeff Letson #131 would capture his first victory of the year in the MOM Tour series at a track where he once captured the BEAR. Johnny Walker #72 would finish second before being DQ’d and Brandon Curren #00 would finish third. After the shake up Tim Moore #57 would bring home a podium finish in third. Jordan Key #0 and Jim Parker #2p would both round out the top 5.

Heading into the last race of the season for the MOM Tour at 5 Flags Speedway, Jaxon Bishop #2 leads the way with 272 points followed by Brandon Curren #00 with 250 and Jeff Letson #131 with 236.
