July 17, 2023 Montgomery Alabama: This Saturday could be a big payday for a MoM competitor if they can beat the #46 Cody Stickler at 5 Flags Speedway for the Beachball 50. Stickler has been on a roll both last season and in 2023 as the Pinnellas Florida driver has had success at many different venues. From his win in the 2022 Modifieds of Mayhem championship event at the snowball derby to a strong Speed week showing at New Smyrna Speedway and a Perfect record in the 2023 MoM season, Stickler and his Moff construction team has raised the bar in open wheel modified racing.
This Saturday the winning purse could be the largest in tour history with a standard payout of $2000 to win and $200 to start plus a potential $1250 bounty on Stickler Bringing the winner’s share to $3250.
Extra Money on the line as a Hard Charger award of $200 to the Most spots gained from Starting position to Finish position. Pole award will pay $100 for fastest time.
Pre entry list shows some strong Modified drivers hunting that bounty with a strong contingent of drivers from North Alabama including #81 Jeremy Williams, #131 Jeff Letson along with teammate #7 Parker Pugh #00 Brandon Curren, #48 Hunter Evans, #31 Brad Stell, #07 Blake Ferguson along with a strong group from Florida to include Pensacolas #98 Kraig Hall, #42 Richie Smith from Hernando, Florida, Bubba VanDevender #86 and Tim Moore #57. Mad Max Calles McDonald will make the trip from Texas.
