October 16, 2023, Cordele Georgia : It was clear skies and good racing at the 4/10 mile Watermelon Capital Speedway at Crisp Motorsports Park this past saturday night. The race was a rescheduled race after the event at Citrus County Speedway was cancelled. A group of racers made the trip up from Florida along with some tour regulars.
Early in the day the Current Modifieds of Mayhem points leader Cody Stickler lost a motor in practice and made the trip home with out making any laps in competition.
Fast time qualifier was Dalton Nelson #94 after the redraw the #94 would start 3rd with the #11 of Dodge Carlbert starting on the pole and the #0 of Troy (BATMAN) Robinson outside front row. Brad Stell #31 qualified 3rd but drew a 4 on the redraw.
The fans were treated to some great side by side racing as the field put on a show. Caution flew as the #35 Michael Curry went off track and damaged his oil pan bringing out the red Flag.
